On August 17, 2018, the Foundation for Blue Valley Lutheran Homes (BVLH), in Hebron, NE, will be hosting its 14th Annual Golf Tournament at the Hebron Country Club.
The Foundation and their fundraising efforts make it possible for our residents and staff to enjoy the “extras” beyond the basics that daily operation funds provide. Some of our residents don’t have family or friends who provide for them so the work of the Foundation is vital for their care and comfort.
Our 2018 proceeds will be used to purchase a handicap accessible golf cart to assist in transporting residents to appointments, as well as get residents out of the facility and in to the community. We are joining this year’s funds with the money raised from last year to purchase the cart. Please help us make significant strides toward this goal!
Fees are $240 for a four person team. This includes coffee and rolls, boxed lunch and grilled burger meal for supper. Team check-in begins at 8:00 am and teams will tee-off at 9:00 am. Space is limited to 26 teams, so start planning early! **Entry forms due August 3rd, 2018**
We welcome you sponsoring or participating in one or all of these ways:
- Create or Sponsor a Team – We are accepting only 26 teams, so register early!
- Tournament Sponsors – All tournament sponsors will be listed on printed materials and we’ll post your business on our website as a 2018 Golf Tournament Sponsor (www.blvh.org). See sponsorship form for more details.
- Tournament Gift Bag Sponsor – Each golfer gets a favor bag. Gifts can be golf balls, tees, koozies, mugs, towels, hats, notepads, pens, etc. It’s a great way to advertise your business!
- Food and Drink Donations – It’s as simple as providing water, sports drinks, juice bottles, items for grab-and-go breakfast or boxed lunch.
Please help us make significant strides toward this year’s goal!

The 13th Annual Foundation for Blue Valley Lutheran Homes Golf Tournament was held August 18 at the Hebron Country Club in Hebron, Nebraska. With a beautiful day and 76 golfers, the Tournament was a success; raising more than $7,000!
“We are so appreciative of the support we receive, particularly with the participation in our annual golf tournament,” says Megan Hinrichs, Director of Development. “Everyone from individual donors, to players, sponsors, and volunteers step up to help make a difference. It’s extremely gratifying, enabling us to address the needs of our residents.”
The Foundation for Blue Valley Lutheran Homes Golf Tournament began in 2004, as a way to raise funds for remodeling and upgrade projects that normal operating expenses do not cover. This year’s funds are earmarked for a handicap accessible golf cart. The golf cart will assist in transporting residents to appointments or shopping in Hebron, provide easy outings for residents to experience the outdoors more and look at local sights.
A beautifully sunny day with a nice breeze set the stage for a wonderful day with golfers enjoying the scramble competition, food and beverages, flag prizes, and a great golf experience. Golf teams came from Hebron, Daykin, Ruskin, Bruning, Deshler, Nelson, Davenport, Lincoln, Omaha and surrounding areas to participate in a day of relaxation and golf.
The tournament champion this year was the Dave Klauman, Gunner Mumford, Eric Krupicka, and Ryan Butler team with a score of 52.
The first flight winners were the Crop Production Services of Chester team with members Jacob Wit, Trevor Wit, Tyler Wit and Adam Tipton with a score of 63.
The second flight winner went to The Garbage Company and Norder Supply team with members Conner Hissong, Jake Feulner, Chad Priefert, and Tony Baines with a score of 72. Each flight winner was awarded a commemorative double walled mug.
We had wonderful sponsorship of the entire event and appreciate all that sponsored. Additionally the evening was capped off with a wonderful grilled hamburger and polish dog supper that was donated and cooked by NuStar Energy of Geneva, Nebraska.
The Foundation for Blue Valley Lutheran Homes would like to thank all of the sponsors, players, volunteers and donors for the tournament this year.
We would like to recognize this year’s Diamond Sponsors for the 13th Annual Blue Valley Golf Tournament.
Thank you for your generosity and continued support!

Some of our residents don’t have family or friends who provide for them so the work of the Foundation is vital for their care and comfort.
Fees are $240 for a four person team, which includes coffee and rolls, boxed lunch and a grilled burger meal for supper. Team check-in begins at 8:00 am and teams will tee-off at 9:00 am.
